This time, as she is escorted from the <br />elevator and to the exit door. She has a <br />date with fate and can't be late. For she <br />has a new chance at life in store <br />~ <br />The monkey be her only company, when <br />she first arrived. Had family, not intervened <br />upon the scene. Surely, she would have <br />not survived. <br />~ <br />She pulls down her sleeves as she leaves <br />so as not to show. The needle marks that <br />scarred her arms, not so long ago. <br />~ <br />This time, '' she will '' put an end to it. She <br />has kicked the smack and won't look back. <br />With the Lord beside her, He shalt guide her <br />she has now the strength and hope to quit. <br />~ <br />This time, she will conquer the horrors of <br />addiction. One day at a time, step by step <br />she shalt beat this sad affliction. This time <br />she will fight and with all of her might ! <br />~ <br />Though 'twill be a long, long journey. Full of <br />shards of jagged rock and stone. She shall <br />not be alone. She will not falter and her plans <br />they won't alter.
